Tangerine Star ("we," "us," or "our") provides AI-driven tools to help merchants manage inventory through purchase order and invoice processing. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our services at www.tangerinestar.com (the "Service"). We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

2. Information We Collect

Account details: Name, email, business contact information.
Documents: Purchase orders, invoices, and inventory-related files you upload.
Point-of-sale data (Clover): If you connect a Clover register, we read your inventory items, categories, stock counts, tax rates, your store's profile (name, address, phone), and your orders with their line items. We write the products you approve. We do not read or store card numbers, customer records, or employee records. This is the minimum needed to match new products to what you already sell and to publish them to your register.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, and usage patterns via cookies (see Section 5).

3. How We Use Your Information

AI Processing: To analyze documents and automate inventory management.
Service Operation: To fulfill your requests and maintain your account.
Improvements: To troubleshoot, update features, and enhance security.

AI/LLM Providers: Documents you submit are shared with third-party artificial intelligence services (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) solely to process your requests. These providers cannot use your data for their own training or unrelated purposes.
Infrastructure providers: Your data is stored and processed by our hosting and database providers (Supabase, Vercel, Amazon Web Services), who act on our instructions and are bound to use it only to provide their services to us.
Clover: If you connect a Clover register, the products you approve are sent to Clover. Clover's own privacy terms govern what Clover does with its records. We do not share Clover data with anyone else, and we do not use it for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.
Analytics Tools: We use tools like Google Analytics to track website performance (e.g., page visits, conversion rates). This data is aggregated and anonymized; it isn't linked to your identity.
Legal Compliance: If required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for site functionality (e.g., login sessions) and analytics cookies to understand usage trends. You can manage preferences via your browser settings.

8. Data Retention

We retain your documents only as long as needed for inventory management or as required by law. Account data is deleted upon request.

If you uninstall the Tangerine Star app from the Clover App Market, we disconnect the register and discard the access tokens the same day. If you ask us to delete your data, or stop using the Service, we give you 30 days to export what you want to keep, then permanently delete the merchant's catalog, documents, and the data read from Clover. Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you or your store may be retained.

We will notify you of updates via email or our website. Continued use of the Service implies acceptance.
